Mary Cullene Murphy retired from Dana-Farber Cancer Institute following a 42 year career in nursing. She is also an Air Force veteran. Mary Cullene is a mother of one and grandmother of 2.
Mary Cullene has been involved in sports her entire life, competing in softball, basketball, and field hockey in high school and college.
She started running while serving in the Air Force and has completed many marathons throughout the country, including her 20th and final Boston Marathon in 2018.
Being involved in the Title IX Girls Running Club has given me an opportunity to give back to a sport that has given me so much. It is also an opportunity to learn from the other coaches and, of course, the runners. They are inspirational.
